We See You: Celebrating Women Who Served

For three years, Kate Treick Photography and Honor HER Foundation co-sponsored We See You, an exhibit to recognize and celebrate the stories of local women who have served in the armed forces. Kate has created portraits of 210 women veterans reflecting how each one sees herself today.

We See You is a project sponsored by Kate Treick Photography and the HER Foundation of Northwest Florida. Our goal is to create portraits of female veterans, to portray them as they would like to be seen, and to recognize their service. Every woman participating in this project has a different story. Some had an empowering experience in the military—others have experienced a lack of recognition for their service, or have even felt invisible. No matter their story, we are here to say that we see you, and we thank you.
